Truly the food was prepared amazingly and authentically. The food presentation and the butter milk almost took me to the golden era of old Bangalore (90’s) 😜 it’s a must visit place for Indian veg food lovers . My wife and were strolling thro the streets of Hanoi when we saw Southern Delights it was a pleasant surprise to see South Indian food in Hanoi

The filter coffee was aromatic and foamy like in Chennai

The food was fresh and was made with a lot of TLC - the vada and most of the dishes came with the regular accompaniments of chutney & sambhar which reminded me of home

i had to meet the chefs and congratulate the chefs for the great food which was being served

Southern Delights comes across as a place with simple great wholesome food with spick and span interiors with a lovely themed interior and lovely music to suit the dining experience

We were looking for vegetarian restaurants close to our hotel in Hanoi and found this place.

The food was authentic south Indian flavor, especially the Masala Dosa, Uttapam and Filter Coffee and very reasonable priced.

The staff is excellent and the restaurant is spacious with a relaxing atmosphere.

We had lunch and went again for dinner before our flight back home. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again.

We have been travelling around Vietnam for 9 days without a breakfast or satisfying meal for lunch. Had some Indian food in Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang though, but never felt complete. It was our last night in Vietnam after spending a month here.

We came for the great reviews and the food did not disappoint. We ordered a few vegan dishes and my husband ordered the Mini Thali.

All our food came with a variety of dipping sauces and Dahl and the portions were very generous.

We finished off our meal with the vegan donuts made with sugar cane juice. These were an absolute stand out and if we weren't so full from our main meals, we would have ordered another serve.

I can highly recommend if you love Indian food.

I am a Vietnamese taking my Indian boyfriend here for his craving of South Indian food. It was a very great experience. Food was super delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Music was good. We love benne dosa and idli sambar. They very satisfied us. Will be back in the future.

Having been in Hanoi for 11days, we craved for some Indian food. While we googled, we came upon this restaurant "Southern Delights" and reading the reviews, we took a 9 minutes walk and we were definitely not disappointed with the food we ordered. The Idilli sambar, Mysore Masala Dosa, Vada and filter coffee were very authentic South Indian flavours. Definitely recommend this vegetarian restaurant 100%.

I was in Hanoi from 30th Jan - 2nd Feb. The restaurant was nearby to my stay in Old Quarter. It was a wonderful experience here. Food was excellent. Service superb. Everyday I made sure that I was at this restaurant for Dinner. Such was the quality provided. They even packed me food for me to take away while on my way to airport even though at that time the restaurant was not open.

Amazing South Indian food. Loved the flavour and portion size as well. Really polite staff. Atmosphere was also lovely and clean as well. Must visit for both locals and tourists 🙂 (this is coming from an Indian so you can trust me on this)

This food reminded me of home 🙂 Good food, good music and good conversation. It was a wonderful experience to dine here. We had the idli, Mysore masala dosa, Mysore butter dosa and it was a super filling meal for two ! Their sambhar, chutney add-ons are also very authentic in flavour. Must try when in Hanoi !
